OUR EVENTS
IRSC 2025 presents an exhilarating quiz that dives deep into the heart of the Global South. Uncover hidden histories, emerging powers, and global shifts that shape our world today. Challenge your understanding, spark curiosity, and engage in the intellectual pursuit of exploring how the Global South is redefining international relations in unexpected ways.
Prelims
The prelims will be offline
Cheating in any form will lead to disqualification.
The detailed rule and regulations will be announced prior to the prelims by the organizers and Quiz Master.
The top scorer of the prelims (number to be announced later) will qualify for the finals.
Final Round
Final will be conducted in offline mode on the same day
Details will be announced prior to the final round by the organizers and the Quiz Master.


ARGUMENTIS(Debate)
This is where logic and rhetoric collide! This event celebrates the art of structured argumentation—craft powerful opening and closing statements, challenge opposing views, and defend your position with unwavering conviction. Whether you’re a seasoned debater or new to the scene, get ready to sharpen your reasoning, ignite your passion for persuasive discourse, and experience the thrill of intellectual challenge. ROADMAPS (Policy Lab)
The Policy Lab is where innovation meets impact. In a world of one-sided solutions, we’re here to rewrite the narrative from the unapologetic perspective of the Global South. Collaborate, debate, and design strategies that truly reflect the realities and aspirations of the Global South. From reimagining climate action to solving global economic puzzles, this is your arena to think big and act bold. Join us if in this event you’re ready to lead change.
Rules and Regulations
The teams must submit a brief of their policy solution which should be between 600-800 words in Time New Roman with a font size of 12. The paper must be mailed in PDF format or Word file.
The brief is to be mailed at irsc2025submissions@gmail.com by 10th April.
The subject of the file should be “IRSC 2025 POLICY LAB_participant’s name_category”, for example, “IRSC 2025 POLICY LAB_Lopamudra Biswas_Senior”. The topic should be clearly mentioned at the beginning of the abstract.
Participants are allowed to put diagrams, graph, tables and flowchart in their brief.
Participants must provide proper reference and citation in APA style for the final paper.

Whether you're presenting a groundbreaking study, a unique perspective, or an innovative solution, your work can inspire and inform. Become a part of an event that fosters innovation, collaboration, and intellectual growth. Step forward and let your ideas take the spotlight!
Prelims
The selection will be done based on the abstract submitted by the participants. The last date for abstract submission is 10th April 2025
The abstract should be within 250-300 words with a font size of 12 in Times New Roman. It must be submitted in a pdf format.
All abstracts are to be mailed at irsc2025submissions@gmail.com
The subject of the file should be “IRSC 2025 PAPER PRESENTATION_participant’s name_category”, for example, “IRSC 2025 PAPER PRESENTAION_Lopamudra Biswas_Senior”.
The topic of the abstract should be very clearly mentioned at the beginning of the paper.
If selected, you shall be notified by the via email or WhatsApp. Only shortlisted participants will qualify for the final round.
Finals
Participants reaching the final round are required to pay a fee of Rs 150 for undergraduate students, Rs 200 for postgraduate students, and Rs 350 for research scholars. Co-authors will be charged separately.
The qualified participants should submit their final paper by 20th April 2025.
The final paper will be on the selected abstract and should be within 2500-4500 words with a font size of 12 in Times New Roman. It must be submitted in a pdf format.
The Finals of paper presentation will be held on 30th April, 2025.
The finals will be held in hybrid mode. For the participants from Kolkata, it will be offline and for those residing outside of Kolkata it will be online.
The Google Meet link for the online presentation will be provided through email.


CRISIS RESOLUTION
Step into the high-stakes world of international diplomacy! In the Crisis Resolution Committee, you’ll race against the clock to tackle urgent international crises, out maneuvre rivals, and forge alliances. With the Executive Board guiding the chaos, your quick thinking and sharp negotiation skills will determine the outcome. Sharpen your wit, hone your argumentation skills, and prepare for intense cross-questioning – this immersive experience is a true test of resilience and diplomatic prowess! Every second counts—are you ready to make history?
Basic Information
The Executive Board, representing the head’s portfolio will manage the committee for the session
Press Statements will be authored by the Committee to be used for dissemination of public information as and when needed.
The discussion is open-floor with no strict speaking limits, allowing adequate time for cross-questioning and argument development.
All the rules and regulations will be at the discretion of the EB/Chairperson and will be mentioned before the day of event.

Rules and Regulations
A description for the submitted photograph and how it aligns with the theme (within 100 words) is compulsory.
No watermark/border allowed.
The participants will be marked on the basis of the justification of the theme, uniqueness & originality of the description as well as the lighting, colour balance, exposure, mindfulness and creativity of the photograph.
The judge's decision will be final, and no communication will be entertained on this in any case.
